On August 12th, I‘d like to invite you to join me for all new episodes of Dinner: Impossible, in our usual time slot, Wednesday nights at 10!

We’ve been running from pillar to post around the country to bring you all of the chills, spills and thrills that you’ve come to expect from the show. With the able assistance of George and David, we’ve created enough food to feed any number of armies, against the odds, the stress, the clock, against everything they could think to throw at us, and we came out cooking.

As usual, it’s been great fun and a great honor to be able to present the show to you, especially the readers of this blog, who have been so steadfastly loyal and enthusiastic.

    **TUNE-IN ALERT**
DINNER: IMPOSSIBLE DISHES OUT MORE MISSIONS THIS AUGUST
New Season Premieres on Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 at 10:00pmET/PT

NEW YORK – July 28th, 2009 – A marvel in the kitchen, Robert Irvine overcomes culinary obstacles in Food Network’s popular series, Dinner: Impossible. Beginning Wednesday, August 12th at 10:00pm ET/PT, Robert and his team conquer extreme menu challenges by catering a utensil-free meal for the women of the Roller Derby, planning a sophisticated candy cocktail party at Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC, making a menu entirely of amusement park food at Six Flags Great America in Chicago and serving an animal-inspired anniversary meal at the Philadelphia Zoo.

    Upcoming episodes include:

Premiering Wednesday, August 12th at 10pm ET/PT– SEASON PREMIERE!
    “Roller Derby Debacle”

On the season premiere of Dinner: Impossible, Robert travels to Wildwood, New Jersey to prepare a one-of-a-kind meal for 250 Roller Derby women and their families. His mission to make a meal that the players can eat without utensils gets even messier when Robert learns that his guests are expecting more beyond ordinary finger foods. Can Robert keep up with these rough and tough women, or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

    Premiering Wednesday, August 19th at 10pm ET/PT
    “Candy Catastrophe”

Robert stops by the world famous Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City to cater Dylan Lauren’s “Un-Birthday” party. Sadly, the celebration ends for Robert and his team when they realize that candy must be part of every dish! Will Robert successfully marry savory and sweet flavors to make a sophisticated menu, or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

    Premiering Wednesday, August 26th at 10pm ET/PT
    “Amusement Park Adventure”

Robert heads to Six Flags Great America in Chicago to prepare a thrilling meal for 250 roller coaster fanatics. He has nine hours to create a menu of extraordinary amusement park fare using foods found only in the restaurants and stands within the park. Can Robert hold on for the wild ride, or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

    Premiering Wednesday, September 2nd at 10pm ET/PT
    “Feeding Frenzy at the Zoo”

For the 150th anniversary celebration of the Philadelphia Zoo, Robert caters a meal for 500 guests based on the diets of four of the zoo’s most popular animals: big cats, primates, birds and reptiles. With a list of unusual ingredients, like crickets, and a makeshift kitchen put smack-dab in the middle of the zoo, Robert and his team give a whole new meaning to “feeding time at the zoo.” Can Robert tame the task at hand, or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

Hope you’ll watch and thanks again for your continued support.

Watching the new hour long episodes are an excellent reason to stay inside in the air conditioining during the dog days of August.
Hey? Did anyone watch Iron Chef last night? I was sickened by that so called professional chef Michael Seymon. He cut his finger, wrapped his hand in a towel and continued to cook like that for the rest of the battle. Everytime the camera showed his hands while he worked away, the dried blood on his cut hand was so apparent. He never even washed his hands! Sick sick sick! How would like to be a judge having to taste one of those bloody creations. Please Chef Robert continue to yell and scream and preach sanitation in your kitchens, it is appreaciated.

Been wondering when the new ones were starting. Looking forward to all new shows. Hope your visit with the kids went well, and hopefully they found a new home. Best Wishes on your continued success with Dinner Impossible and my best to George and David who help you out. Hoping some day to see you in Chicago doing a DI would be great.

I am especially looking forward to the amusement park episode. Mike Simon tried that during his temporary stint. Hoping to see something other than chocolate covered bacon defined as "gourmet" amusement park food! Knock it out of the park Robert! Class in session!

I hope to hear soon about Andre and Luba's stay. I am also looking forward to the new D:I episodes. I hope, Chef Robert, that we will have the pleasure and privilege of as many new shows in this seventh season as the first seasons each had (12-13 shows, wow!). Although I have no doubt it must be taxing for you, George, and David, it makes formidable entertainment, on par with no other. All my best. E.

The reason this blog reader is 'so steadfastly loyal and enthusiastic' is simply because you're good at what you do. Too many aren't but still have a big deal made of them, which is rather sad. I get the impression you'll be around long after they're gone.

Chef Robert if there is one thing that would be a tremendous blessing in my life is the opportunity to cook with you. Believe me when I say I truly can say that I understand the stress factors involved in Kitchen operations and the complex issues you are presented with from situation to situation. What inspires me most is your surreal approach to most of the complexities in the various functions of culinary arts. I liked the Roller Derby Mission other then the fact that they seemed clueless as to how intense it can get even under the least of pressure deadlines. It is an extremely competitive and intense. It has been stated to me once that under the most of extreme of conditions a chef must be able to supercede and push the envelope. The greatest focus must be the inspiration, thought process, and execution in and at every level.

    Hi Robert!

Wow, these shows look totally outrageous! I can't wait to see
them! I hope they let you go on the rides after you were done
cooking! This is my favorite amusement park, but I haven't
been able to afford going in a long time.

I have, finally! seen a few of your newer shows. I saw the
Barbie episode again (Rebekah still loves it!), the Crossword
puzzle episode, and the NBA charity episode. I also saw a
rerun of the Quinceanera episode. I still love that cake! I loved
    the other episodes as well!

I hope to see the rest soon!

    Your forever fan

    Caught this week's episode.

My husband and I have been watching DI from the beginning (except for when you were gone, Robert) and the Roller Derby "not" Debacle" was fantastic to start this season with!

We loved the humor and joy that you put in the 1st season's show, and we were a little worry that you'd lost the joy in the new episodes shown earlier this year, but you got it back. Dinner Impossible is back on track with you at the helm.

Welcome back and keep up the great shows! Though, I wouldn't mind if it goes to 1.5 hours... It never seems long enough to see all that can and does happen on your shows!

    Hello Dear Chef Robert,

I saw the new Episode last week and I was hysterical laughing for almost over 10 minutes after it was done. You are too much. I loved all the commotion created and the challenges they throw at you but in the end you come out winnig.....good for you. Where is George? aside from you he was the second best looking man on the show, I missed him last week and when I saw he was not there I got very upset......the other guy was ok and Davis as usual is great, anyway keep up the good work and when you decide to come to my area Ft. Lauderdale, please let me know. You are the only chef on the Food Network not on my WALL OF HONORS in the kitchen, i have taken pictures with almost all of them....can you tell I love to cook and people who cook. ;-)

    Take care

    Love

    Dear Chef Robert,

I watched your Candy M.I. episode last night(8/19/09), wow what a nightmare!!! First I commend you for admitting defeat, second, great idea on the non-cake thing. Unfortunately for me if I had been at that party I would have not been able to eat any of your food....too much candy. I don't even want to imagine how some of the dishes tasted, I know I heard some comments from the guest regarding a few of the dishes but the chicken and pork looked good.

    All the best
    Maria

P.S. It was real cool seeing George on the show last night!!!

Robert, I was watching the candy episode and started screaming at the television set. "JORDAN ALMONDS, JORDAN ALMONDS, JORDAN ALMONDS!"

Smash the Jordan almonds to smitherings, then place a mound on boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in appitizer portions. Put in a hot oven.

The candy will melt to make a glaze and the smashed almonds will stay on top of the meat.

Just an idea from a gal in Georgia. I love the show!

I will never be able to go into Dylan's again without thinking about Chef Irvine and the candy challenge! Even though you delivered past the scheduled time, YOU DELIVERED, and that's what counted. I wouldn't have had a clue what to do in that circumstances--you can only do so much with dark chocolate, which would've been my go-to. Can't wait to see what happens at the amusement park this week! VCR is already set up and ready to record!

    Dear Robert,

I finally caught up on all the recent episodes of D.I and I loved them. You are such a genius. I can't wait to read the recipes from the Amusement park episode on foodnetwork.com, all the food looked so yummy.
The Minnesota State Fair begins tomorrow and after watching you and David and George work your magic with amusement park food I can't help but think of what gourmet creations you can make with all the state fair food served on a stick.
I like to find the silver linings in life and I am thankful that I have celiac disease because unlike all my fellow statesmen and women I will not gain 5 to 15 lbs this week on cheese curds, corn dogs, and deep fried everything from oreos, twinkies and snickers on a stick.
Tonight I am not preparing for the opening day of state fair tomorrow but for my camping trip with my two kids. This will be my 6 and 3-year old first camping trip and we are looking forward to catching and keeping a fish. Usually, when we go fishing in the cities, we release the fish, but my daughter and I are ready to clean a fish. We watched "how-to clean a fish" videos on youtube. Hopefully all will go well and I will skin the fish and not my hand, or my children.

Keep up the great work! We are looking forward to watching you at the zoo next week.

This is the best show on the FN. I'm an beyond glad that Mr. Irvine was brought back. He's the only person who could ever helm this show and it was terrible without him. I really hope that the execs at the network keep this show going but only with Mr. Irvine leading. His emotion is so entertaining and I can't help but laugh when he has his spontaneous outbursts. "GEORGE!!!" Such a damn good show!

    Dear Chef Irvine-
I have to say what a pleasure it has been to see the new episodes since your return. They have a "realness" to them that the re-runs lacked. It is very clear that you not only have experience as a chef, but also have a genuine gift and passion. Your work speaks much louder than any words. You also deliver with such humor. I always find something to smile about or just find myself laughing out loud during every episode.
Please continue to be true to yourself and your passion. It's amazing to watch. I hope that you will continue to enjoy what you do, and always keep those who love you and need you more than any of us at the top of your "priority list"... your family.
As always, best wishes. Thanks so much for making a show that is poisitive and entertaining, and for showing us what a REAL chef can do.

I love the show now that Robert's back..Michael didn't have challenges as hard as Robert's. One question...why don't you ever use a rice cooker for rice? It was available to you on the (Bourse?) episode in the Chinese Station. The rice cooks in about 15 min. and is always perfect.

Loved each of the new episodes, maybe more than all those that came before.

As a female and an adult if you really wish to stop David and his french "Yes, Chefs", ignore it as you would if it were one of your kids and he'll stop saying it. George did it after you yelled at David just to get on your nerves.
